Refund requests between 24 and 48 hours before your experience time will receive a 50% refund.

Refund requests made less than 24 hours before your experience will not be refunded.

Reservations may be rescheduled at any time for no additional charge.

Players who are wheel chair bound can enjoy many of our experiences. Please give us a call at 804-905-VRVA before you arrive so we can be sure to outfit you properly.

Our experiences are best enjoyed when sober and we ask you to help us make everyone's time at Pelagos VR fun and thrilling. If, in the estimation of our staff, a player is impaired to the point that equipment damage, property damage or personal injury could occur or that the player could negatively impact another's experience, they will not be able to participate and will not receive a refund. Note that Pelagos VR serves alcohol, so please drink responsibly. For your safety and enjoyment, we recommend saving your consumption of alcoholic beverages until AFTER your experience.

For our free-roam arena experiences, we ask that all participants be at least 4 feet tall.

Our Virtualizer Elite VR platforms have height and weight restrictions similar to what you would find at an amusement park. These restrictions are put in place for the safety of our guests. All players must be between 48 inches and 80 inches tall and weigh less than 265 pounds. Also, we must be able to secure the safety ring around the waist of any player who wishes to use the Virtualizer.

While we would love to accommodate adventurous souls regardless of their age, we DO have a responsibility to ensure that our guests are able to enjoy their experiences based on the equipment and content.

Players must be at least 13 years old to participate in any Pelagos VR experience.

Players less than 18 must have a parent or guardian over 21 present at all times when they are at Pelagos VR. Also, the parent or guardian is responsible for signing a waiver for any player under the age of 16.

Some experiences are geared toward adult audiences. Our website clearly marks those experiences as 18+. Players under 18 will not be able to participate in those experiences.

Yes! Our ready room is equipped with lockers that you can use to store any valuables while you play. We ask that you remove those valuables promptly after your experience so that others can use the lockers as well.

Many glasses work fine under the headsets, but those with larger frames may not fit or may cause discomfort. If it's possible to wear contact lenses, your experience may improve.

Our VR experiences are all active and fun, so please wear comfortable clothing and footwear. High heels and open-toed shoes make life very difficult in virtual worlds. Some people with long hair find that their headsets are more comfortable when they wear their hair down instead of in a pony tail. Large earrings may look great, but they have a tendency to get snagged on headsets, so please don't wear them.

Yes. All players must sign a waiver before enjoying one of our experiences. If you book online, you can COMPLETE YOUR WAIVER ONLINE electronically so you before arriving at Pelagos VR. If you did not book online or if one or more members of your group did not have a chance to sign one prior to arriving, waivers may be completed at the venue. Please allow enough time to complete waivers (they take about 5-10 minutes to fill out) prior to your scheduled experience time.

We will do our best to accommodate you. If you're less than 10 minutes late, we will keep you in your scheduled time slot and you will only lose a little time. If your group is at the venue less than 30 minutes after your scheduled time slot, we will try to book you into a fresh time slot later in the day or reschedule for a different day. If your whole party has not arrived within 30 minutes of your scheduled time, we will consider that a no-show and you will not receive a refund.

Absolutely! Of course, you will only be able to play immediately if there is an available time slot so we encourage you to book your experience in advance. Even if you have to wait, Pelagos VR has great food and beverage options as well as comfortable seating so you can enjoy yourself while you wait for your experience.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your experience time. That will ensure that you, and your whole group, has time to check in and fill out any waivers that have not been completed.

Our online booking system requires a credit card to hold the reservation. You can also use that credit card to open a tab to pay for food and beverage on the day of your experience, or you can pay at the venue with a different debit or credit card.

We do not accept cash payments.

Significant weather events are rare, but they DO happen. Please contact us at 804-905-VRVA if you need to reschedule your experience due to bad weather and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Simply put, Pelagos VR offers the best variety of cutting-edge virtual reality experiences in the world! We start with high-end VR headsets which immerse your senses and take you to amazing worlds. Then we provide not one, but two ways to get around in our virtual worlds. Our free roam arenas track your movements in real time, allowing you to move as naturally as you do in our world and have those movements translate to the virtual environment. Or you might choose to get around the world using one of our Virtualizers. The Virtualizer is a powered omni-directional platform that enables you move about infinitely in a virtual world, unconstrained by the boundaries of an arena (or anything else). All of our experiences are wireless and none of them require backpacks.

All of our experiences are active, but each focuses on a different aspect of the spirit of adventure that lies within each of us. At Pelagos VR we take your safety very seriously. All equipment is disinfected after every use. We use a Cleanbox UV light cleaner on our headsets. The 1-minute sanitizing cycle reaches a world-class 99.999% decontamination of the areas that make contact with the head and face and dries the headset, making it ready for the next player. In addition, we use a germicidal disinfectant proven to be effective against the virus that causes COVID-19 on all equipment. Finally, disinfectant wipes are available in our Ready Room and disposable face coverings are available upon request

While we can't guarantee that you won't feel motion sickness, our technology and experiences are designed to limit the likelihood of any discomfort. First and foremost, we use the latest headsets with high resolution, fast frame rates, and advanced lenses.

Motion sickness is most often caused by a difference between your actual movement and perceived movement. If you are immersed in an experience in one of our free-roam arenas, our tracking system will sync your actual movements with what you see in your headsets in real time. On the other hand, if you use one of our Virtualizer Elite 2 omni-directional platforms to transport yourself to a virtual world, the machine itself translates your walking and movement to your headset instantly.

The Virtualizer has numerous safety features and our staff is trained to prevent injury while using any of our equipment. The Virtualizer's construction includes an adjustable ring that goes around a player's waist and locks in place. Falling when the ring is locked is nearly impossible. The Virtualizer also has an unlocked mode which allows players to move with more freedom even though the safety ring is still in place. Only players who have practiced and been designated as proficient by one of our Guides are eligible to use the Virtualizer in unlocked mode. While falling is possible in unlocked mode, the likelihood is small.

Our games provide clear boundaries to prevent you from making contact with the walls of the arena as long as you pay attention and follow instructions.

Pelagos VR equipment tracks everyone's position in real time. You will see the other players through your headset, but don't expect them to look like they do in real life. . . you have all been transported to another world!

Our Post Adventure Feast option is amazing! Simply order your food and drinks at the venue before your VR experience, and we'll have your icy-cold beverage and yummy hot food waiting for you when you return from your virtual world!

At the beginning of every experience, you and your team will meet in the Pelagos VR Ready Room. There, your Guide will provide your HTC Vive Focus 3 headset along with any other gear you may need. Your Guide will also brief you on how the experience works and what to expect in virtual reality. Then you will be taken to your arena or Virtualizer so that we can transport you to another world! In all, it will take about 15 minutes to prepare for your adventure.

Our TrueVR Arena and Virtualizer adventures feature 25-30 minutes in VR. These adventures are highly active and we have found that 25 minutes is more then enough time in your virtual world!

Our VR Escape Rooms feature 45 minutes in VR. While these adventures are slightly less physically demanding, they do require active movement as well as good problem-solving skills to emerge victorious, so a bit longer time is required.

At the end of your adventure is done and your equipment is returned, you can celebrate with a cold beverage and some yummy food!
